This is achieved through two methods:

• Water Tariff Check – which includes:

• Offering non-metered clients the opportunity to identify if they will be financially better off by switching to a water meter – which is known as a Meter Optant Check.
• Some clients may be eligible for a reduction in their household water bills due to their social and health circumstances. Our trained staff can check this through a Social Tariff Check.
• We can advise clients on how to be more water-efficient by providing them with expert Water Efficiency Advice.
• Benefit Entitlement Check

eaga Water Services, through our expert Benefit Entitlement Check service, can maximise the income of vulnerable customers.

This pioneering advice service was the first of its kind to be carried out over the telephone and to date has delivered average increases in weekly income of £23 to over 100,000 people. This amounts to almost £1000 a year in extra income per household.
